Piece Quilt Blocks

USING YOUR HOOP!

Did you know you can make REAL, ACTUAL quilt blocks with your hoop????  With my technique you'll end up with 3, 4 or 6" finished blocks.  No experience needed.  Detailed, pictorial instructions are included.

Gourmet Brownies in a Jar
(for gift-giving)

1 2/3 cups sugar

1/2 cup chopped pecans

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup cocoa

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.  Place sugar in bottom of a 1-qt. jar.  Layer the remaining ingredients on top of sugar: cocoa, flour mixture, pecans, and chocolate chips.

Attach these baking instructions to the jar:

When ready to prepare brownies, pour contents of jar into a large mixing bowl and blend well.  Add 1/2 cup butter or margarine and 3 eggs, slightly beaten.  Mix until well blended.  Spread batter in a well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan.  Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.  Once cool, cut into 2" squares.  Makes 2 dozen delicious brownies.

To be more festive, the top of the jar can be decorated with a piece of fabric or colorful gift wrap tied with a ribbon or gift card.
