Onion Gravy
2 tablespoons of grease
(preferably bacon grease) |
One very large onion |
2 tablespoons flour |
1
to 2 cups milk |
1
teas. pepper |
1/2
teas. salt |
Melt grease. Add cut up diced
onion. Cook until translucent. Strain in a colander. Reheat grease.
Add l teaspoon pepper and 1/2 teas. salt. Lightly sprinkle flour in.
Whisk as you add milk. Make sure it comes to a full boil that won't
easily stir down since milk is added. Add onions and it is ready to
serve!
Makes delicious gravy. Eat over
rice, potatoes or cube steak.
