Quick Ghosts, Cats, or Spiders
This is not
exactly a "recipe"...more of a fun project for kids
or teachers for Halloween. Use you imagination and create
other creatures. Maybe a bat with the Nutter Butters, with a gumdrop head!
These
are so quick because they are made with packaged cookies, candy and
ready-to-spread frosting.
For
Ghosts:
Nutter Butter Cookies (peanut-shaped cookies)
Creamy White or Cream Cheese Frosting in can
M & M's baking bits
Frost cookies. Use green M & M's bits for eyes and a red or black for
mouth.
Spiders:
Oreo Cookies
Chocolate frosting (in a can)
M & M's baking bits
Black string licorice (the kind that you can separate)
Frost the Oreos. Separate the licorice into strings and cut them into
lengths that you want for spider legs. To assemble, place two green M &
M's bits on one edge for eyes. Press
4 pieces of cut licorice into the frosting on each side of the cookies for
legs.
Cats:
Oreo cookies
Candy Corn
Black string licorice, separated into strings and cut
M & M's baking bits
Frost Oreos with Chocolate frosting. Use two candy corns on one edge for
ears. Below the ears, place 2 green or yellow M & M's bits for eyes.
Position cut licorice pieces for whiskers.
