Piece Quilt Blocks

USING YOUR HOOP!

Did you know you can make REAL, ACTUAL quilt blocks with your hoop????  With my technique you'll end up with 3, 4 or 6" finished blocks.  No experience needed.  Detailed, pictorial instructions are included.

Apple Hill Cake

(Apple Hill is a big deal in the foothills of Northern California. We grow some serious apples, and the farms are tourist attractions, with craft shows and farm animals, etc. A great way to eat your way through the area! This cake is famous up here.)

Combine:

2 cups sugar 2 eggs 4 cups diced apples -- set aside
1/2 cup oil

1 tsp vanilla

 Sift:

2 cups flour

2 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp soda -- Add to apple mixture

1 tsp salt

1 tsp nutmeg

Heat oven to 325

Pour into 9x13 greased cake pan. Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until done. Serve hot, warm or cold, plain or frosted with whipped cream.
