Piece Quilt Blocks

USING YOUR HOOP!

Did you know you can make REAL, ACTUAL quilt blocks with your hoop????  With my technique you'll end up with 3, 4 or 6" finished blocks.  No experience needed.  Detailed, pictorial instructions are included.

Rhubarb Cake

Tell Us About It

This is an old family favorite that my mother received from a friend of hers. We've been making rhubarb cake for over 30 years!!! It is so easy and so very good....it's hard to stop eating with just 1 piece of this cake.

Ingredients

1 beaten egg 1 C sugar 1 C cream
1 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 C flour 2 C cut up rhubarb

Directions

Mix together in above order. Pour into a greased 8x10 cake pan. Top with a mixture of 1/2 C chopped nuts and 1/2 C brown sugar. Bake for 60 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Comments

My favorite quilt that I have made is a 1930's reproduction quilt from the booklet "Scrap Soup". I changed some of the blocks around and made it more "mine". I love the 30's reproduction fabrics and this scrap quilt is perfect to show them off.
