Tell Us About It
This came from my grandmother. I just
reminds me of all of the women who traveled across the country on the
wagon trail. They made handmade quilts out of left over materials and bits
and pieces of this and that. When ever my grandmother made this I would
think of all the women in our past!
Ingredients
1/2 lb of
Bacon cut into small strips |
1/2 lb of
ground beef |
1 diced
onion |
1 can of
green beans |
1
can of kidney beans |
1 large
can of baked beans |
1/3 cup of
brown sugar |
1/3 cup of
sugar |
1/4 cup of
ketchup |
1/2
tablespoon of mustard |
2
tablespoons of molasses |
dash of
Worcestershire sauce |
Directions
1. Cook bacon, ground beef and onion in a
pan until the ground beef is brown. (The bacon will be wiggly). Drain off
the grease. 2. Drain green beans and the kidney beans. 3. Mix green beans,
kidney beans and baked beans together in a large bowl. 4. Mix together:
brown sugar, sugar, ketchup, mustard, molasses, and Worstershire sauce. 5.
Mix all of the above together and pour into a casserole dish. 6. Bake for
1 hour at 350 degrees. NOTE: If the recipe is doubled it will fill a crock
pot. YUMMY

My favorite quilt was the mariner compass
quilt I made for my daughter.
