Piece Quilt Blocks

USING YOUR HOOP!

Did you know you can make REAL, ACTUAL quilt blocks with your hoop????  With my technique you'll end up with 3, 4 or 6" finished blocks.  No experience needed.  Detailed, pictorial instructions are included.

Hosting Etiquette

1.  Create a folder with the name of your swap in the Files section of our Yahoo Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SewManySwaps/files/.  Type up your guidelines in a word program and then  post in your folder.  Remove when swap is over please to keep our storage usage to a minimum.

2.  Feel free to post swap photos that your members send in.  Again, create a folder in the Photo Section of our Yahoo group http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/SewManySwaps/lst .  This keeps us organized.  Remove after a while to keep out storage low since we have limited space.

3.  After you have your swap guidelines posted, announce to the forum and send a link of the file to the forum rather than posting the entire guidelines TO THE forum.

4.  You can discuss your swaps on the forum just keep to a minimum or just continue the conversation in private with your members.

5.  After your swap has started, please post to the forum when you receive swaps from your group.  Feel free to post for fill-ins, help and never post negative things about your swappers NO MATTER what's going on to the forum.  Contact one of the Forum Moderators.  Send her a detailed letter and if deemed fit we will remove that member from our forum.

6.  Keep your members updated every chance you can get.

7.  You may ask for samples if you have a large swap to ensure quality.

8.  Please collect one extra block per swapper for charity.  There are several places you can donate to OR contact Larisa and she'll give you some addresses to mail to if you do not have or know of someone in your area

9.  Please inspect the blocks when they arrive and if need be contact the members privately if they must be returned and gently tell them why.  Returning blocks is very hard to do.. it'll put a lump in your stomach.. trust me, but if the swapper did not follow the directions or the workmanship is not up to par, you need to send back.

10.  When your swap is over again, don't forget to remove the file and photos if you post to our Yahoo Group page.

11.  If you host on SMS and you do not follow through, you will be removed from ever hosting or swapping here again.

12.   Feel free to announce your swap several places, but if you plan on hosting with SMS please use our web address https://sewmanyswaps.tripod.com/ as your link so your members can join the forum so they can read the swap details.
